Director of Ecommerce & Growth (DTC)
About Blunt Cases
Blunt Cases is a fast-growing fashion and lifestyle accessories brand built around one idea: creating products that make her feel seen. We started with phone cases, but we're building something much bigger. Blunt sits at the intersection of fashion, accessories, culture, and self-expression, and we're rapidly expanding across new products, channels, and experiences.
The Role
We're looking for a Director of Ecommerce & Growth (DTC) to lead Blunt's day-to-day commercial engine across ecommerce, launches, paid media, retention, CRO, affiliate, TikTok Shop, and emerging growth channels.
Reporting directly to the founders, this person will turn company revenue goals, product priorities, customer behavior, and brand direction into a coordinated DTC growth plan. You'll lead specialists across multiple channels, own the commercial calendar, identify growth opportunities proactively, and build the operating discipline that allows Blunt to scale without the founders sitting in the middle of every decision.
What You'll Do
- Serve as Blunt's functional DTC commercial lead, owning the day-to-day operation and continued development of the ecommerce and growth function.
- Lead Blunt's DTC revenue engine across Shopify, launches, paid media, retention, CRO, affiliate, TikTok Shop, and emerging commerce channels.
- Own the ecommerce revenue plan, forecast, weekly performance, and roadmap to hit company sales targets.
- Lead Shopify as a commercial channel across homepage, navigation, collections, PDPs, merchandising, product discovery, onsite search, bundles, upsells, reviews, and promotional execution.
- Improve conversion rate, revenue per session, AOV, units per order, and repeat purchase rate while protecting the customer experience and brand.
- Own the master commercial calendar across launches, drops, promotions, best-seller pushes, inventory moments, and other growth opportunities.
- Proactively identify new commercial opportunities from product velocity, customer behavior, inventory, seasonality, retention data, and channel performance rather than waiting for the founders to originate every campaign.
- Turn growth opportunities into clear commercial plans covering the objective, offer, forecast, channel strategy, owners, dependencies, deadlines, QA, and expected impact.
- Lead cross-functional launch execution across Email, SMS, Website, Paid Media, Organic Social, Affiliate, Creative, Product, CX, and Operations, including kickoffs, readiness reviews, go/no-go decisions, and retrospectives.
- Lead Blunt's paid-media function and performance partners, owning pacing, accountability, and the connection between CAC, MER, ROAS, CVR, AOV, creative performance, and contribution economics.
- Build a tight feedback loop between paid media, creative, retention, merchandising, and landing-page/CRO work so performance insights turn into action quickly.
- Own retention strategy across email and SMS, including campaign planning, lifecycle priorities, segmentation, testing, deliverability, repeat-purchase growth, and Style Club performance.
- Own the CRO roadmap and agency relationship, prioritizing tests based on evidence, impact, effort, and business timing.
- Build a reliable weekly ecommerce scorecard and forecast, turning campaign, cohort, traffic, and customer data into decisions.
- Partner closely with Creative & Marketing so commercial goals and performance learnings translate into the right creative angles and asset requirements while keeping day-to-day production with the creative/content team.
- Direct and develop leaders across paid media, retention, affiliate/influencer, TikTok Shop / commerce, and future ecommerce or merchandising roles.
- Build the operating cadence, accountability, dashboards, and decision-making structure that allows Blunt's DTC function to scale without the founders remaining in the middle of every decision.
You Have At Least — Required
- 7+ years of progressive ecommerce, growth, or DTC experience with meaningful ownership beyond a single channel.
- Experience owning a substantial portion of the ecommerce or DTC business at a scaled consumer brand, including revenue, storefront, launches, and growth performance.
- Strong hands-on understanding of Shopify merchandising, CRO, retention, launches, offers, and ecommerce analytics.
- Experience directly leading paid-media buyers, teams, or agencies and connecting acquisition performance to the wider commercial plan.
- Strong command of CAC, MER, ROAS, CVR, AOV, repeat rate, contribution economics, and forecasting.
- Experience leading cross-functional campaigns and launches across site, paid media, retention, creative, and other customer-facing channels.
- Proven people-management experience and the ability to lead specialists who know their individual functions deeply.
- Strong commercial judgment, urgency, attention to detail, and the ability to make decisions with imperfect information.
- Experience operating in a fast-moving consumer business where priorities, creative, offers, and channel performance can change quickly.
- Based in the U.S. and able to work effectively in a fully remote environment.
We Hope You Also Have — Preferred
- Experience helping scale a DTC consumer brand through $50M+ in annual revenue, or meaningful ecommerce ownership inside a brand already operating at that scale.
- Experience in fashion, beauty, accessories, lifestyle, or another highly creative consumer category.
- Experience with a Gen Z customer and a strong understanding of how brand, creative, merchandising, and performance marketing work together.
- Experience building or upgrading ecommerce and growth operating systems inside a founder-led or rapidly scaling company.
- Experience overseeing affiliate, influencer, TikTok Shop, marketplaces, or other emerging commerce channels in addition to core DTC.
- Experience managing a CRO agency or building a structured experimentation roadmap.
- Experience owning or materially improving retention, lifecycle, membership, or subscription programs.
- Strong creative judgment and the ability to turn commercial goals and performance learnings into useful creative direction without becoming the production bottleneck.
- Experience bringing more mature DTC operating patterns, dashboards, forecasting, and accountability into a smaller high-growth organization.
Why Blunt
Blunt is at a stage where the opportunity is much bigger than simply managing an existing ecommerce store.
You'll have real ownership over how we build and scale our DTC commercial engine across ecommerce, paid media, retention, CRO, launches, and emerging channels. You'll work directly with the founders, influence how the team and operating model evolve, and have the autonomy to turn performance insights into decisions quickly.
There is already meaningful momentum behind the brand, but there is still a huge amount left to build. We're looking for someone who is excited by that.
Benefits & Perks
- 100% company-paid medical, dental, and vision coverage for the employee
- Paid time off
- 100% remote work
- Significant ownership over Blunt's ecommerce and growth strategy
- High-impact role with direct influence on company growth, team structure, and commercial decisions
- Close partnership with the founders and real autonomy to build the function
How to Apply
To be formally considered, complete the application. Be specific about what you personally owned, the decisions you made, and the measurable impact of your work. We care more about real operating experience and judgment than polished answers.
